Peer Gynt is made from 100% Norwegian wool; it is soft and comfortable. This quality yarn has been on the market since 1938. It is especially suitable for knitting sweaters and larger garments because it holds up well with hard wear!
Each 50 gram ball is 98 yards. Because the Norwegian tradition is to knit everything firm, the label suggests using a US #4-#6 needle for a gauge of 22sts. to 4". However, we also like to knit this yarn at a 5 stitches to the inch gauge (worsted) on a US #7
Machine wash and lay flat to dry. All Sandnes Garn yarns are free of microplastics.

This yarn knits up so nicely and is perfect for those sweaters you want for warmth,comfort 7 to grab & go with when spending time outside. I've knit two "basic" sweaters with the yarn but I have a feeling it would show cables nicely or other stitches that need definition.
