If you are curious about the new trend of visible mending, or have finally decided to mend all the holes in your old socks, you might be interested in these reproduction Speedweve darning looms. This little tool makes darning go quickly… Once you got the hang of it, you should be able to repair a hole in 20 minutes or less.
The 14 pin loom (shown in action) is perfect for smaller holes, up to 2" in size, while the 28 pin loom can make a repair up to 4". Each kit comes with the steel loom, a grooved wooden disc, a long darning needle, a crochet tool, five heavy duty rubber bands, and an instructional sheet. Watching some YouTube tutorials can help immensely, as unfortunately the instructions that came with the loom are a little vague. This one was our favorite, but any search for Speedweve Tutorials should bring you to the right place.
