Tern from Quince & Co. is a blend of wool and tussah silk. The yarn's muted palette results from the way in which the different fibers absorb dye. The wool portion colors thoroughly, but the silk is barely tinted. It's good for socks, scarves, mitts, hats, and any sweater that loves a little drape.

We created the Crescent Beach Wrap for our Fiber of Maine subscribers earlier this year. This is a fun and versatile pattern, with an interesting and easy contrast between vertical lace and two-color horizontal garter rows. This shawl is knit from tip to tip to keep the rows short and manageable and uses three colors of Quince & Co. Tern (almost every bit of colors A and C). A single color would boost this pattern into the elegant category. The pattern is available for download for 4.50 from our Ravelry store.
